 Breast reduction / breast lift (reduction plastic / mastopexy)
Very large or pendulous breasts may not only harm corporal self-consciousness, but may also lead to painful chronic deformities, mainly of neck, breast and back. Moreover, these persons are often restricted in their physical activities and sexual life.
Depending on the size and finding, a breast lift or reduction can be the right choice of treatment.
 The breast can be corrected and can get almost the same form and size again as desired. During the operation a reduction of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple, is possible, too. Both operations can be done at any age. However, growth of your body should be completed and the breasts should be fully developed.
There are various techniques to achieve the desired result. We are aiming at a technique with reduced scars (Le Jour technique). Stitches are usually located around the areola with a vertical line extending downward. In case of a moderate breast lift a sole incision around the nipple might be sufficient.
The operation takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours and is always done under general anaesthesia. Post-operative you will have to stay in the clinic for two or three nights.
14 days after surgery stitches are being removed. During this period we recommend wearing a tight jogging bra which you will get from us.
