 Face-lift (face and/or neck)
This is a method for tightening sagging structures of face and neck. A gentle, limited incision correlating with the lifting of skin, muscle as well as connective tissue structures causes only very discrete scars. The result is an effect of rejuvenation, which lasts for 5 to 10 years and can also be repeated.
Accompanying measures like skin revitalisation by means of hyaluronan or also a laser treatment can still correct subtle wrinkles and can even improve the result already achieved.
The operation takes about 90 minutes for each side of the face and can be done either under half-sleep or general anaesthesia.
These operations are usually recommended as from the age of 40. Post-operative recovery takes about 2 to 3 weeks, but already after the first week stitches are being taken out and swelling has healed. After 2 weeks latest there is no more social discomfort. Any kind of sports can be practiced again after 3 weeks. Just avoid direct insolation for several weeks after surgery.
