 Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)
The form of the nose is being corrected from the inner part by going through the nostrils. The incision at the vestibule allows nose correction without creating visible scars. Even bone and cartilage structures can be formed and modified this way. Haematomas and swellings are being minimized due to innovative techniques. Recovery takes about 2 weeks. A tamponade is only needed for a short period of time.
Usually this operation is done under general anaesthesia, but can also be done under local anaesthesia or half-sleep, if desired.
During the period of recovery a nose splint has to be carried for 10 days. Stitches are being removed already after 5-7 days. Direct insolation should be avoided during 4-6 weeks.
If necessary, we are also offering so-called „open“ nose corrections as an alternative, e.g. in case of revision operations.
